Is my mobile phone compatible with music ringtones?
In order to download music ringtones, your mobile phone must have the ability to play them. Check your phone's capability on our help page. In addition, your mobile phone account needs to be Internet-enabled (T-Zone, M-mode, Vision, etc.).

How come my phone can get polyphonic ringtones but not the music ringtones?
Though music ringtones are downloaded the same way as polyphonic tones, they require special features on your phone to play back correctly. Only a subset of phones has those features. Be sure to check your phone's capabilities on the main help page.

My phone is listed as compatible to download Music tones, but my carrier is not on the download list. Why?
At this time, Fred Music ringtones are only available to select carriers. Our technical team is working relentlessly to expand this feature to all of our customers. Once we achieve compatibility, your carrier will be added on the download page of music tones.

Why did my ringtone not arrive?
It can take up to several minutes for music tones to arrive. Make sure that your phone is compatible to download this feature from Fred and the internet is enabled and the connection is available at the time of download. If the download failed to work, you may be in a subsection of a carrier that Fred cannot reach or the carrier's network is busy. Please contact Fred Customer Support for further assistance.

My ringtone arrived but when I attempt to download I receive an error message. What is happening?

Voice Ringtones FAQ

Is my mobile phone compatible for voice ringtones?
In order to download voice ringtones, your mobile phone must have the ability to play them. Check your phone's capability on our help page. In addition, your mobile phone account needs to be Internet-enabled (T-Zone, M-mode, Vision, etc.).

At this time, Fred Voice ringtone content is only available to select carriers. Our technical team is working relentlessly to establish this feature to all of our customers. Once we achieve compatibility, your carrier will be added on the download page of voice tones.

How do I download Voice Ringtones using Fred SMS?
After selecting the ringtone you wish to download, go to your phone's compose message box and type in the download code . You don't need to put the title of the tone. Send the message to 94649. Shortly after, you will receive an alert on your phone, "Download Ready!" Select "ok" and you will be connected to your browser. Here you will be given the option to either buy or cancel. Select "buy" and you will receive a second alert entitled, "You Got a Download!" Your phone bill will not be charged until you receive the ringtone alert. Proceed to "download" and the voice tone will be saved on your phone's ringtones folder.

How do I download Voice Ringtones using 777 Wap?
From your phone menu, go to net services or wap browser and enter the address http://wap.....com; or text the words "go " to 94649 and a link will be sent to your phone. From Fred home page, select "Ringtones" and proceed to "Voice Ringtones". Here you will be directed to various voice tone categories available to you. Once you select the desired item, you will be given the option to buy or cancel; select "buy" and the transaction will be billed to your mobile phone account. You will then be prompted to download your ringtone and the item will be saved directly on your ringtones folder.
